Privacy
Rate Parliament collects as little as it can. This page explains what we keep when you sign in and vote, and why.
What we collect
- If you vote as a guest, we store a random guest ID in your browser and nothing else about you.
- If you sign in, we store your email address and a sign-in ID. If you use Google, we receive only your name, email and profile picture from Google, and we use only your email.
- For each politician you rate, we store your vote and when you made or changed it.
- We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser's local storage keeps you signed in, or remembers your guest ID.
How we use it
- Your account exists so each person gets one vote per politician.
- Public scores are totals only. We never publish who voted, or how any person voted.
- We don't sell or share your details, and we don't email you except to send sign-in links you ask for.
- Only you can see or change your own votes. This is enforced by the database itself, not just the website.
Your choices
- You can change or remove any vote at any time from the politician's page.
- To delete your account and every vote you've made, contact us using the details below and we'll remove them.
